Gymboree Addict

For over 3 years I avoided Gymboree like the plague.

I'd hear other moms gushing over their latest Gymboree finds and think to myself, suckers.

I could never figure out why people would spend $60 on an outfit for a kid.

Then one day over the summer I wandered into their fill-a-bag sale armed with a coupon.

I bought onesies for a friends new baby for $1.30 each!! I bought 5 shirts for Davis for $3.00 each and a pair of jeans for $5.

What????

After that I was hooked.

You can't beat the quality of clothing for those kinds of prices.

Here is my recent haul, I didn't pay over $3.20 per item. There are 10 pairs of shorts and 10 shirts in this pile.

No Words

I have to words for the tragedy that occurred this past Friday morning.

The only words I can hear in my mind are those of my grandmother:

"Our world is sick and in this day and age I'd never bring a child into it"

She was right, our world is sick and having children growing up in is scary.

Scary as hell.

Just One More

Every Christmas it happens.

I'm positive I am done buying gifts.

Then I realize I am not.

I have a whole list of people I forgot about.

Le sigh.

The Gym

When I was 22 years old, I woke up one day and realized that I'd eaten one too many tacos at Taco Bell at 3 a.m.

I was at my heaviest ever.

Around 155 lbs.

I decided to start hitting the gym and didn't stop for 8 years.

For 8 years I got up every day at 5:15 a.m. and would work out until 6:30 a.m. and then go to work.

Even pregnant.

But at around 28 weeks with Davis something happened and I could barely walk, get up from a sitting position or get up from laying down.

My workout days were suddenly over.

He was born.

He didn't sleep.

Life sucked.

I barely had enough energy to brush my teeth let alone go to the gym.

So for the past 4 years I've only worked out here and there.

My super shady ladies only gym finally shut their doors due to financial issues and I decided to join a brand new gym that just opened here.

And guess what.

I've been back at it and feel so great about myself.

I've really missed my regular gym visits.

Here's to hopefully looking more fit in 2013!!!!  Maybe I'll actually be a size 2 again :o)

Santa Santa Santa and I Need Music

Davis learned this lovely little ditty from none other than Spongebob Squarepants, my favorite show :insert eyeroll::

Really, I hate Spongebob and rarely let Davis watch it but he caught the Spongebob Christmas episode one day and loved it so I DVR'd it and he has been singing this ever since.

I took this the same night, the kid likes to dance but I guess mom was missing something...
